Prince Wednesday Finds a Way to Play Summary[]
Daniel Tiger goes to school and joins his friends in the play corner. After helping Katerina Kittycat build a wall with blocks, Daniel Tiger plays house with her. Moments later, Prince Wednesday stomps through the play corner pretending to be a dinosaur. Concerned that he will wake the baby in her pretend family, Katerina declares that there is no place in playing house for a dinosaur.
Prince Wednesday is sad and insists on being a dinosaur. Sharing his feelings with Teacher Harriet, Prince Wednesday and the other children are encouraged to find a way to play together. The friends quickly decide that Prince Wednesday can be a dinosaur -- a quiet one.
Back to playing house, Daniel Tiger make believes that the house is a castle before Prince Wednesday accidentally knocks over the block wall. Katerina Kittycat is sad when it falls down but the children find a way to play together as they rebuild the wall.
Everyone sings a song about sharing talents and playing together before Prince Wednesday pretends to be a friendly dinosaur in a zoo.
Finding a Way to Play on Backwards Day Summary[]
Daniel Tiger and O the Owl visit the Museum-Go-Round to play with Miss Elaina. Moving backwards into her room, Miss Elaina declares that today is Backwards Day! She invites Daniel and O to play a game where they find all of the backwards things in her room -- but O is clearly uncomfortable with anything backwards.
Daniel make believes that he is moving backwards and upside-down throughout the neighborhood.
O shares that he thinks things work better when they're forwards. When Miss Elaina announces that they will put on a backwards show, O discomfort increases. Music Man Stan and Lady Elaine Fairchilde encourage the children to find a way to play together.
Miss Elaina and Daniel want to dance backwards and O decides that he will play the music for the show -- although he will play it forwards. The show begins as O plays the bongo drums while Daniel and Miss Elaina dance. They sing about playing together even when some want to play different things.
